Sheri Kurtz had a vision, and today that vision is not only a reality but a thriving business: The Sherlase Clinic.
Her background in advertising and media, along with 10 years of electrology, has generated a respected and recognized business of advanced esthetics within the York Region.
Since 2000, Sheri Kurtz has dedicated her time, energy and knowledge to ensure that the Sherlase Clinic offers the most advanced technology in laser equipment, products and services.
Sheri stays true to her vision by ensuring the technicians and the staff are offering the clients the best possible results and service.
As the Sherlase Clinic continues to grow, Sheri is looking forward to the advancements being made in the industry of cosmetics enhancements.
Dr. Jennifer Rotstein, (BSC, MD, CCFP)
Dr Jennifer Rotstein is a family physician specialising in cosmetic medicine. The art of filler facelifts, and botox cosmetic are Dr. Rotstein’s special interests.
Over the past several years, Dr Rotstein has perfected advanced techniques of volume restoration to help a client achieve a more restful appearance while still looking completely natural.
Dr. Rotstein offers complimentary consultations with clients to explore non-surgical approaches to facial rejuvenation.
Dr. Rotstein is also part of the Weightless weight loss team and medically supervises all clients registered in the program.
Denise Furlano

Denise brings to Sherlase over 12 years of progressive skincare expertise. Denise’s results-oriented approach to skincare coupled with her attention to detail have given her an outstanding success rate with clients. As a skin care professional, Denise works with each of her client to achieve the best possible results. Performing over 3000 treatments per year, Denise has earned the respect of Physicians in the medical community. Trained by Dr. Mulholland (owner of Spa Medica) in Photorejuventation, Denise brings her skin treatments to a new level where client satisfaction is paramount. Denise has been referred by many doctors who have patients with challenging skin conditions.
Denise’s continuous success is due to her ability to provide her clients with a combination of superior technology and the latest techniques in advanced skin treatments.
Denise is also the Owner of the Weightless Clinic at Sherlase, which offers clients a medically managed weight loss program supervised by an accredited Nutritionist.
Angela Colangelo
Laser Hair Removal Specialist
Angela brings to Sherlase Clinic over 20 years of knowledge and experience in the Esthetic & Electrology industry.
With extensive training in Medical Esthetics, and as a Certified Medical Esthetician, Angela provides you with a personal consultation and optimal service to ensure comfort and maximum results.
Offering a full spectrum of the most advanced options in laser hair removal and cellulite reduction using Velashape, Angela specializes in treating dark skins using the latest technology for hair removal. Also by combining advanced lasers available at Sherlase, she is able to effectively and safely treat all hair and skin types form darkest to lightest.
At Sherlase Clinic, Angela’s skills are constantly being updated as technologies and procedures change.
Nancy Luther, RN
Specializing in Sclerotherapy (vein injections) laser vein treatments, Botox and weight management consultation
Nancy Luther joined the Sherlase Clinic in its inception as part of Sheri Kurtz’s vision to offer the highest level of service with the most current technology in advanced esthetics.
Nancy has 32 years experience as a Registered Nurse and specializes in Sclerotherapy (vein injections), Laser vein treatments, Botox and weight loss management.
Nancy’s skill and professionalism brings referrals from physicians, medical professionals and satisfied customers.
Sophie Sarantakos
We are proud to introduce a new member to the Sherlase Team, Sophie Sarantakos. She is a licensed CIDESCO International Aesthetician and Trainer with 20 years experience in high-end spas and medical facilities.
Donna Prymok
Director of Nutrition
As a former educator for the Durham Catholic School Board, Donna Prymok observed the importance of keeping a healthy lifestyle for both students and herself. This led her to make a career change – from teaching young children how to read and write to teaching people how to eat healthier.
Donna is an honours graduate from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto, as well as a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner and a Registered Orthomolecular Holistic Practitioner. She belongs to the Certified Nutritional Practitioners Council of Canada and the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Association of Fitness Professionals and is certified in Foot and Hand Reflexology by the Reflexology Association of Canada.
Donna brings a unique approach to Weightless Clinic which includes the use of Dr. David Rowland’s Nutri-Body Analysis and Dr. Natasha Turner’s Hormonal Health Profile. These unique sub-clinical tools are designed to assess certain symptoms that can relate to nutritional imbalances. Along with a medical history intake and blood work, Donna will work to put together a custom made program that suits your lifestyle and your health needs so that you will not only lose weight but also notice improvement in all areas of your health.
Lynn Buckler
RN
Lynn received her diploma in nursing from George Brown College. She has worked in Obstetrics, Gynecology, newborn infant care and Infertility. Lynn has taught prenatal classes emphasizing nutrition, wellness during pregnancy and postpartum care. For the past three years, Lynn has been a team member at the Weightless Clinic and her specialty is nutrition and wellness.
Sally Elson
Office Manager
Since 2005, Sally Elson has been the warm and friendly face that greets you at Sherlase. Sally has both a Medical Office and Lab Assistant diploma as well as the Ontario Management diploma (O.M.D.P). Sally likes to stay current in the industry and attends many skincare seminars which keeps her up to date on the treatments and products available at the Sherlase Clinic. Sally is proficient at finding the treatment and the technician who is right for you based on your skincare needs.

Business Development Manager
With over 15 years of progressive sales and marketing experience, Jennifer joined the team in September 2009 in the newly created position of Business Development Manager. Jennifer has extensive experience in the field of cosmetics, skincare and fashion. From the early years as Product Manager for the Prestige Cosmetic and Fragrance division at Revlon Canada to Sales and Marketing Director for Bausch & Lomb’s Ray-Ban Eyewear Division, Jennifer brings a wealth of innovative ideas to the Sherlase Clinic. Working collaboratively with Sheri, Jennifer is developing a number of promotions and advertising programs as well as working within the community on many fundraising efforts partnered with Sherlase.
